3DScope II - User Management

Overview
As of firmware version 2.0 logging into the 3DScope II counter has been enhanced with various permission related security features. The 3DScope II now has the ability to manage user access directly from the device.
Note
The User Management module is only visible if the logged in user has System Administrator permissions.
To add a user:
- Select Other Settings
- Locate User Management
- Select new user
- input a user name
- select permissions

input password and repeat
- A user name must be 1-32 characters
- A user name must start with a lowercase "a-z" or an underscore "_"
- A user name consists only of lowercase letters "a-z", numbers "0-9", underscores "_", minuses "-" and dollar signs "$"
- Only the last character is the user name can be a dollar sign "$"
- (optional) check password expires immediately if you would like the user to be prompted at next login for a new password.
- select save

The 3DScope II comes pre-configured as of firmware version 2.2+ with the following users. If upgrading from a previous version a factory reset on the unit would be needed for them to appear, otherwise just make new users as needed.
Viewer | Used for viewing live video, without count data. | Video access |
Calibrator | Used for counter calibration setup or modifications. | Data access, video access, camera setup and video setup |
Audit | Used for counter accuracy review, without ability to alter current calibration | Data access, video access |
Network | Used to setup static IP instead of DHCP or SOAP server addresses. | Network setup, SSH access |
